About Me

First off, if you are going to add me and i might not know who you are, please say hello or something.Relocated DJ from Los Angeles living in Portland since 11/03! Starting from scratch with my wife of 11 years, Anita, and my boy, Hunter.
Here is my dj bio...
Considered to be Los Angeles' original UK Hard House/NRG DJ, Ganesh has been a source of inspiration to the new ranks of up and coming DJs in LA. Helping the once hardly existent L.A. Hard Dance, scene in which record shops had never even heard of the style and are now devoting entire walls to Hard Trance, NRG and Hard House. He brought a new flavor to the LA dance scene with a sound blending heavy, pulsating bass lines, intense rhythm, and powerful synths. Ganesh's live sets and mix tapes have been the subject of more than one reviewer's interest: The Mining Co.; "From CA comes this supernova of a DJ, Ganesh. Fast, energizing techno and trance that will kick you into the middle of next week!" Fix magazine; "What can I say that you don't already know. L.A.'s best hard trance DJ. Period. He'll rock you like there's no tomorrow!". Not wanting to have a one-sided relationship with the press, Ganesh took up writing reviews for both published copy and e-sites alike, and held the Genre Editor position for for the monthly magazine, "Freebass", published by Majestic dist. Writing a monthly column on the state of the Hard House scene that featured reports and news from as far off as Australia and reviews of the newest and most innovative tracks. Conducting interviews and label profiles on the Hard Dance scene's movers and shakers. This unique opportunity provided him access to all the newest and best test pressings and white labels around. While no longer a monthly contributor to Freebass, continues to contribute to the scene with reviews and charts to Banginbeats.net, Energyuk.net, as well as magazines, "Fix", "XLR8R" and UK based "Wax". DJ Ganesh started his djing career in 1995 in Santa Barbara, CA. playing small house parties, clubs and the occasional one-off. Not satisfied with playing just for other people, Ganesh took DIY to heart and started "Digital",the first club, in Santa Barbara, dedicated to the harder side of dance, in April of '97 in Santa Barbara. Now he can be seen all across the country playing his matchless style of Hard Trance and NRG to capacity crowds. Playing alongside world class DJs and live acts; BK, Andy Farley, Nick Sentience, Ingo, Baby Doc and S-J, Karim, Chris C, Madam Zu, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Chris Liberator, Julian Liberator, Ritchie Hawtin, Misjah & Tim, Rabbit In The Moon, etc. He's been a long time resident of R.O.A.M., Warm & Fuzzy, and TeknoKlub parties, and club "Red" in L.A. "Red" was voted "Best after-hours" by The Los Angeles' weekly "New Times" Ganesh's love for hard hitting, pulse pounding tracks has cemented his reputation as one of L.A.'s top talents and is spreading his sound and talent across the U.S. Don't miss an opportunity to catch one of his powerful sets!

My Interests

My family, first and for most. I have magaed to find probaly the single solitary woman on this big blue marble that takes me as I am. She has put up with all the lame ass sonofabitch stuff that men are famous for and still manages to look me in the eye and say I'm the sexiest thing she's seen. Did I mention I think her eye sight is going?. Her dedication to our marrige and our family is the stuff of legend. She has single handedly taught our son, Hunter, how to read, write, add, you name it. She is my goddess. I worship at the temple of Anita. I love her completely. Our son is my other reason for breathing. Our little monkey is the most incredible little ball of questions, giggles, boo boos, tantrums, toys, cuddles, tickles, and kisses. I can only hope everyone else can learn to feel this way about their children. There are way too many that don't and that just kills me.Second...DJing obviously. You pull the strings and they all just dance around. It's just goddamn awsome. but apart from that, I'm a just a big damn nerd. PS2/PC games, movies, comix and that. Good food, good drink, good people!
