Fight With The Strong...Or Die With The Weak

About Me

I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan. I have just a few weeks left, and then it's back to the Good Ole USA!!! I like doing just about anything--spending time with my family, playing with my dogs, going to the beach, playing poker, playing guitar, reading books and working on my truck. I am married to my best friend (who I've known since kindergarten) and have the most beautiful wife & daughter in the world!!! I am currently living in Hope Mills, NC & am assigned to Pope Air Force Base. Prior to getting this assignment, I spent 15 months in the Republic of Turkey...and before that, I lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for about 7 years. I am from West Tennessee and love everything The South is known for, stands for, and believes in. Hopefully, I will be back in Tennessee soon...it is the greatest place you could ever live! I'm also certified as a Hostage Negotiator, so if any of ya'll decide to take some hostages one day (or end up one yourself)--Call Me.CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE-- www.freewebs.com/tennesseebenFOR THE BEST DAMN BLUEGRASS IN WEST TENNESSEE, CHECK-OUT: http://www.myspace.com/lonesomedrifters

Music:

Pretty much everything out there. In the last few years, I've really gotten into blues and bluegrass. The folks I mainly listen to are: Lonesome Drifters, Johnny Cash, Old Crow Medicine Show, O.A.R., Dispatch, Rusted Root, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Old Canes, Los Lonely Boys, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, Waylon Jennings, Shooter Jennings, George Jones, Roger Miller, David Allan Coe, Roger Alan Wade, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Vince Gill, Randy Travis, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Buffett, Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.B. King, Oasis, HIM, Weezer, AFI, Linkin Park, Modest Mouse, Cracker, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, some rap/hip-hop music, and just a TON of other stuff.

Movies:

Talledega Nights, The Break-Up, Rounders, Boondock Saints, Chopper, Haggard, O Brother-Where Art Thou?, Office Space, Bottle Rocket, Napoleon Dynamite, Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan, Dodgeball, Old School, School of Rock, Good Fellas, Ocean's Eleven, About a Boy, Menace to Society, Along Came Polly, Tommy Boy, and a million more...

Television:

When I actually watch it--Seinfeld, The Office, My Name Is Earl, Arrested Development, Las Vegas, Friends, Scrubs, World Poker Tour, Newlyweds, Austin City Limits, the History Channel, the Travel Channel, and some "reality" (yeah right) shows...

Books:

Since high school I have been reading the "Kay Scarpetta" series of books by Patricia Cornwell. They are "forensic thrillers"--basically they are detailed/fact based murder novels. I have also started reading books by Dan Brown and James Patterson.

Heroes:

The only people I have ever really considered "heros", are the everyday folks who do extraordinary things. My parents, all the military personnel that have ever fought for our country, and people like--teachers, police officers, firemen, etc. One person I draw inspiration from, is Daniel Negreanu. He is possibly the best No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em poker player in the world today, and just an all-around nice guy.
