Ricardo Vilella started to write the sound track of his career in 1997, when accepted an invitation to join the staff of a radio show at Jovem Pan FM in Brasilia. This experience at the radio brought electronic music for his life. Consequently, after some gigs, he could actually try something for the very first time: The emotion of being connected with the crowd through music.
Two years latter, Ricco started a residence at one of the biggest clubs in Brasilia at that time - Safari Forest Bar, where he could get in touch with several styles, from Speed Garage and Acid House 'til the Breakbeats and Drum' n Bass. The time he sent at the club made him fall in love with 4x4, especially Techno.
In 2002, he started another radio show ,still at the Jovem Pan radio, focused only on the local electronic music scene. There, he could receive local DJs and producers for a chat and play some tunes.
The show gave the kick off to tart some new projects: Positron (2002), Tech Tech and Faces (2003), Pitch (2004) and his current project: Fuckin' Techno.
In 2004, he was booked to line up the BMF-E (Brasilia Music Festival Electronic), where he played in the 2nd day of the event alongside International Top DJs such as Green Velvet, Mistress Barbara, Christian Smith, Agoria, Dave Angel, Mau Mau, Renato Cohen and many others.
In 2005, again at BMF, he was on the same stage as Derrick May, Valentino Kanzyani, Slam and others. Showing refined technique and interaction with the crowd, being very praised by the specialized media.
For the future, Ricco intends to dedicate the interchange between Techno DJs of the country for the growth of the local scene. "Brasilia already has the second best nightlife of the country, but the Techno still has much more to grow.", he claims.
To define the sound of the DJ Ricco? Good vibrations and a smashing setlist. Who already have been in his dancefloor, knows that it is guarantee of great vibe and good music.
