In 2006 I accomplished my dream of driving through all 49 states; it was my own American Gypsy tour. I left home initially on May 31 and finished the journey Dec. 1, having put 40, 010 miles on my Jeep. I slept in a tent most of the way. A Dec. 2-9 trip to the Hawaiian islands of Maui and Oahu capped off my discovery of all 50 states. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough for opportunities to see 29 countries...it will soon be 30 as I have just accepted a job in Qatar. Let the journey begin...
