"Livin' la vida loca" here in South Florida for 11 years after narrowly escaping the blizzard winters of New Jersey in to the thrusts of Hurricane Wilma but we made it through and for now I'll trade the glorious sun and heat for an occasional adrenaline rushing wrath from Mother Nature's winds.
I grew up in Short Hills, New Jersey, spent summers at our summer home on Chadwick Beach Island. In 1986 I sustained a spinal cord injury. My c5/6 vertebrae dislocated in my neck when diving off a dock in to the bay. My diagnosis, quadriplegic aka tetraplegic. I migrated South in 87 to join The Miami Project, made great friends who opened my eyes to a new promising life, rather then wallow in my own self pity. *SCI is not for the weak or meek.
I've since lived in Pennsylvania, then back to New Jersey and here I am happily in Weston, Florida, just 30 minutes from the Ft. Lauderdale beach/ocean and 45 minutes from South Beach. Still discovering new places and fascinating people.
I'm no longer a club kid but still enjoy partying with friends and getting wild every once in a while. Good conversation with fun/wicked/admirable/trustworthy friends involving euphoric music, scrumptious food, delectable vino, is my typical fun.
