I am an Author and Entrepreneur who traveled the Pow Wow circuit on the East Coast, New Mexico, and Colorado for ten years. I've met many interesting and wise people in my travel as well as ignorant people who seemed to be stuck in the twilight zone. I have many stories to tell but not enough ink in my pen to capture all the good stuff. I am a dedicated advocate of human rights, especially the rights of the native people of this land and the people who were forced here against their own will. I am not one of those characters that dwell in the past, but depend on the past to ensure a clear vision for the future.No one can right the wrong that was bestowed upon my people but the Great Spirit. I witness the miracles every day through the triumphs and accomplishments of my people. I swell with pride to see us persevere over genocide, despair, and inequality. My people are strong and will eventually become a dominant force on this land once again.I will not allow the world to forget our sacrifices and the destruction of my people by the hands of the oppressor. Every chance I get, I develop something to stir the masses, to jog their memory. I proudly designed the Homeland Security T-shirts to remind the powers that be of the old adage "what goes around comes around". The recent pain that America felt from the attacks of 9/11 doesn't hold a candle to the pain my people felt from the same attacks and slaughter from our government. When I wear the shirt, I feel the white eyes staring at the emblem and wanting to say something, but have a loss of words. And then there are those rednecks that turn so red that they appear to explode from the inside out because the truth hurts. I ache for them to say something to me so I can get a chance to erase the ignorance.This is the movement that should not die. The movement to educate the young as well as remind the old!
