LIQUID CRYSTAL is Sasha Shilov, born in Dubna, Russia. He started to play piano at the early age and it's helped him to became a member of the local rock band. A bit later he heard the disc of Jimi Hendrix «Electric Ladyland» and that was the impetus for him to study guitar, then he created his own rock band which music was based at the blues. Looking for a new sound he met with the first Goa trance releases and decided to begin experimenting with electronic music. First tracks made with humor for friends provided the basis for its further evolution - he began to write chillout music under the name Liquid Crystal. His style includes ambient, downtempo, funk and ethnic melodies and grooves of course. Music says more than thousand words, so just listen and enjoy it."
