A. Thomas was born in one of the country's "most dangerous cities" Camden, NJ in 1985 at Cooper Hospital. As a youngin coming up in the streets, Ca$ ran with the Eastsiders, raised on N. 32nd and N. 35th St. His early influences in life came from his older cousins and OG's in the street. Like most inner city youth, Cas had hoop dreams young. But he also began to develop his rap skills at the age of 13, First just writing rhymes for his friends and later he started getting involved in rap battles in public arenas (parties, bowling alleys, p.r day parades , etc). He soon realized his true talent and took it as a calling going undefeated in the battle rap scene. He put out 2 independant mixtapes titled "C's Up (Camden Up)" Vol. 1 & 2 that the streets embraced.Castro is also the Ceo of HoodFella Muzik (HFM), which was formed in 2006 and has hott artists such as Hazey Dot, V.I and Drama on the roster. In 2008 Castro linked up with Cross of Deck Enetertainment and together they released the 1st official mixtape titled "Ridah Muzik" Vol. 1 Hosted by DJ Life of Street Sweepers.
