We EONS. We four. We are looking for the perfect beat. We believe
secular rock n’ roll is not religious enough (and vice versa). This
is fact. If there’s hell below, EONS is gonna go.
Don’t you wonder sometimes ’bout sound and vision? They say EONS
sounds like bands you may have heard. Others say EONS sounds like
bands you haven’t heard (but should seek). Neither is true. This
summer, EONS will collect the tears of everyone they love and respect.
And record it. This we will deny forever (samizdat copies of three
songs are currently proliferating).
Years later, EONS found themselves wrongly imprisoned at the Château
d’If. We escaped for the sole purpose of attending reggae night at
Hammersmith Palais in Sheperd’s Bush, London. Today, EONS lives
together in a one-bedroom flat in Richmond, Detroit, and Chicago. We
have a webcam that documents our daily activities; it can be accessed
at www.teenEONS.net.
EONS is still in love with you. We EONS.
PRESS:
"At times, the tunes recalled those Britpop records that probably changed their lives, but not really. Too much force for that limp deduction. At one point, a band stops aping its heroes and finds its feet. Run away now." -- Brian Smith, Metro Times
"From "Getchya Guitar On" to "Pulses Pins and Needles", it’s easy to
grab onto bits of sound that seem familiar, yet the songs possess an
originality you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere." – Sebastien,
Pause Magazine (www.Pauseculture.com)
"That between Justin Bailey’s croaking Jarvis Cocker and the fuzz and
blister flying off the fingers of Arun Bali, we felt like we were
watching some unknown band of geniuses open for Sugar at the 40 Watt
in 1992." – Johnny Loftus, Detour Magazine (detour-mag.com)
"EONS are the best band in the world." – fivethreedialtone.com
"At some points I think it is some really nostalgic shoegaze, and at
others I think these guys really remind me of Doves, which is a very
good thing." – Each Note Secure (www.eachnotesecure.com)
