Your eyes are constantly moving. To give you an idea how much, look at the picture below. Every time your eye saccades to a new location, you will see a flash. Notice how continuous it appears.

I am an electrical engineering PhD student at UC San Diego focusing ..s, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. I came up through the ranks as a disillusioned anti-rock star before I realized it was all the winky lights in my rack gear that really got me off. In my spare time I am using my newly found circuit design kung-fu to build analog guitar effect pedals and hope to some day use them to fight evil. Maybe the orthogonal paths of musician and math geek will converge into one big spicy tuna roll in inventor heaven, where I will be waiting with a diode laiden smart bib.
