Composer and singer Nora Tombalakian delivers a poetic, yet contemporary experience, blending her own melodies with various musical backdrops—from folk to classical—to forge a hauntingly fresh sound.
Originally from Canada, Nora earned a Masters of Music from the Manhattan School of Music, and has lent her diverse talents to classical and contemporary projects, recording sessions, albums, original compositions, and live performance. She has performed at Lincoln Center Out of Doors (New York), Recital Schaffhausen (Switzerland), and the International Summer Festival at Eisenhower Park (Long Island, NY), as well as creating and performing vocal and musical arrangements for commercial and sound recording projects, with clients that range from Clairol to PBS. She has also worked with dance companies Vangeline Theatre and Geraldine Cardiel on original music for several projects.
Nora is currently developing her own live performance piece, Bonori, which combines different languages, textures, and layered vocals to expand on her classical roots. With pianist Evan MazunikOiseau Sauvage
