About Me

FIRST AND FOREMOST!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS NOT ACTUALLY ME SINGING "OH HOLY NIGHT"!!!!!!!!! Let's get that out of the way before anything else....
Well, congratulations, you've made it here to the wonderful world of Todd's MySpace....
I thought all of you should know.....I've gotten help for my MySpace addiction, and though certainly still a MySpace junkie, I'm not as obssessive about it as I once was. But I love connecting with people on here that I haven't seen or heard from in over a decade!!! That's pretty cool. I knew I was addicted, and needed help the day I checked MySpace before I checked my e-mail!!! Thanks for all of the prayers and kind notes and the flowers that every sent to my rehab center when I knew I was truly addicted and needed help the most!
I still miss all of my Houston dancer friends, who introduced me to this MySpace world (and I miss you too, Micah!! My Japanese/American....(Amerinese?) dancer friend!!)
I've recently gone to work for Sports World Ministries, a national non-profit ministry that uses retired professional athletes to go into the public schools and talk with kids about the choices they make, and the consequences and rewards of the choices they make. I'm really excited about the future with this organization, and this door to work in ministry that the Lord has opened up for me!Continue to pray for me (guidance, strength and wisdom especially) as I am "learning the ropes" in this new venture, and especially for the Lord to be honored and exalted through my work and the efforts of Sports World as a whole.

My Interests

Singing, sports (watching and playing), singing, listening to music, singing, and did I mention singing?

I'd like to meet:

First and foremost, Jesus Christ (well, maybe not first....I mean, I AM enjoying living life.....but that's pretty well taken care of for us to meet down the road).

Others, hmmmm let's see.....George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Tim LaHaye (actually met him by handshake only once....but would like to actually MEET him), Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh (can you tell I'm a conservative?), Billy Graham, Michael W. Smith, Col. Oliver North, General Norman Schwarzkopf (did I even spell that right?), General Tommy Franks, and many others

Music:

What DON'T I listen to.....though with my family owning a Christian bookstore for nearly 10 years, it was mostly Christian music that I kept around.

That said, there are some AMAZING artists in the mainstream industry in all genres that I can and enjoy listening to....

Movies:

Hunt for Red October, Star Wars saga (all six), Phantom of the Opera (prefer the Broadway production...but not a bad movie at all), Tommy Boy, Field of Dreams, and many others but those are probably the tops in all of these categories.

Television:

Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn football. Besides that, I hardly have time for TV.....but I DID get hooked on 24 during season 4.....and if there were a CTU, I would want to be Jack Bauer.

Which "24" character are you?

?
Jack Bauer
You are Jack Bauer!!! You always save the day, you have a sexy voice, and have the longest days too often. Almost all of your love interest's die or just get sick of your need to save the world. Your not afriad of sticking it to the man, and if people would listen to you things would get done a lot faster.

Books:

"Mission Compromised," "The Jericho Sanction," and "Assassins" by Oliver North. AMAZING books....fiction, but all about international espionage, and clandestine government work. The 1st one actually sounds EXTREMELY real to me.....though if the 1st one IS based on reality, I think the 2nd, and most definitely the 3rd are purely fictitious extensions of the storyline of the main characters. But very realistic and based on Col. North's real-life experience as "Special Projects" director for the National Security Council.
Recently I read "The Five Love Languages for Singles," by Gary Chapman. I'm bi-lingual....quality time and touch. If you read any version of 5 Love Languages, you know what I'm talking about, if not, I suggest reading them....you learn alot about yourself in relationships through the book.
I also just read "The Rising" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. This is the first book in the prequel series to LaHaye and Jenkins' "Left Behind" series. It took me a few chapters to get into it, but by half-way through I was on board, and now I'm looking forward to the 2nd one.

Heroes:

Vocally - Larnelle Harris, Michael English, Jody McBrayer, Jon Rivers (speaking voice).....Life in general, my Dad

Memories light the corners of my mind... (sing it Barbera!!)

This morning was an interesting morning for me.  But for context's sake, let's back up a few hours.... Last night, while travelling through Oklahoma on business (I love that my job has so much tr...

Transition, and the stupid "Back" button

I just waxed exceptionally eloquent about the topic of transition in life.  I mean, I was proud of myself for what I had written....not a haughty pride (at least I don't think), but ju...
