My family is the most important thing in my life - without them I don't know where or who I'd be today. My children are the loves of a lifetime. I have always put my children's best interests first in my life as I have truly been the only "consistent" parent for the majority of their life. As of December, my oldest daughter decided that she wanted to live with her dad, so she moved down to La. to live with him, his wife and her daughter. She seems very happy there which is nice to know although her presence is missed so very much around the house. Things are way too quiet around here with just the two. I have a wonderful Fiancee who has shown me the meaning of what TRUE love really feels like deep down into the core of your soul. He has taken to the children quite well over the past 5 years but especially so over the past 3 years since he moved in with us. I enjoy spending some of my free time checking on the progress of sick and terminally ill children (and adults) as well as their families through www.carepages.com.Until October/Nov. when I took a fall down the steps and then the car accident in Nov. where I injured my back pretty badly I had been enrolled at the local college i nthe nursing program. As a result of my injuries I had to withdrawal due to my inability to be able to properly care for the clients (patients) because of the medication I was on and the extent of the injury to my back. I am hopeful that in Fall of 2007 I will br able to continue persuing my nursing career. I have always had a desire and need to help and take care of others. Nursing just seems such a fitting career for what I what to do in my life. I truly love taking care of people in any small way possible I just want to make a difference. I would love to eventually specialize in pediatrics. It's just all too humbling to realize that no amount of prayer will ever bring about earthly healing for these warrior children.
