Camu Katse aka Bianka Göbel, Videographer and projectionist, dj, graphic designer, photographer, festival producer. Australien co-laborations with 'Prussia'. Collapsicon , the Frequency Lab , Token Imagination / Cooknkitch , with Big hArt's production Junk Theory for Sydney Festival and had most fun doing weired audio-visual experiments (such as stop-motion animation) w/ Mr Monk Fly and Mr Mersades Malone ; premiered at as the Synaesthesia Project @ Underbelly Festival . Back in Berlin she used to deejay as the ‘Judge’ in 'Judge & Doc', with the dub/reggae outfit 'General Bass Sound System' and, off course, in her own name. Her eclectic style ranges from reggae and d'n'b to country/punk(-dub) with acres of space in-between for all kinds of mind-blowing music.
Katses main mission though is projecting images on to fixed and moving targets. Found footage, movie scenes, live camera takes and original material are being distorted, filtered, looped and re-assembled; often providing sound along with the pictures - as seen for many years w/ Berlin's own post-jungalist dub-a-delic outfit X.A.Cute and the live-radioplay/multimedia group GMP Göbel-Mandel-Penner.
Katse's latest brain child is the (((ECHO BEACH))) extravaganza, recently taking place on random dates at Karakas Bar . Swing by and enjoy yummie cocktails, watch surf videos, listen and dance to dub reggae, dancehall, jungle, idm and make a bargain at our beach flee market!
