Quantum is a Maritime Engineer while working on accademic projects as the Flight data Recorders or Black Boxes for accident analysis.He began djing at house parties during the mid nineties mixing jungle and break beat in the southern suberbs of Athens and when he found a chance to break in to the club sceen of electronic music it was in North East of England.He landed on a group of talented artists representing the local underground elctronic techno sceen. He joined Insert records(the hybrid of Testing OUt Records)in '98 and had the chance to show his talents very early at Fast Breeder nights with artists like Oliver-Ho(Blueprint/Meta),Richie Harvey(User/Abuser), Ben Sims(Theory/ Killabite),Female(TRESOR),Charlie Hall(Pro-Jex / Drum Club),Ian Void (Gueshky) spinning in the house.He headlined soon after in ECLECTIC festival with Jiles Petterson rockin the dancefloor. In 2002 he joined Modular Expansion in Athens Greece signing with purpose to support and develop the underground techno sceene in his home town.He has been resident ofReverb Sessions and Modular Expansion with guests of the likes of David Tarrida(Tresor/Sativae),Chris Cowe(BellBoy,SOMA,F1), Dj Rolando (Los Hermanos,UR), Alex Cowalski(Tresor),Funk D Void(Soma),Diego(Kanzleramt),Scion(Tresor/Basic Channel), Daren Price(Underworld),Sender Berlin(Tresor/Guesky) headlined.He has done appearances in most Bars and clubs in the Athenean contributing to the Athenean dance sceen.Yet the highlight of his career up to the next was meeting with founder of legendary UR Mad Mike Banks.It was an incredable experiance listening to this unique figure of techno history. Quantum has played as resident of Naupigio Bar-club in Crete,in numerous beach parties and has done appearances in Paros and Corfu islands.He also appeared in Omega Audio Recs launch party.He headlined at Boutique club Venue in Chalkidiki one night before Sasha performes in the closing summer event. Quantum has appeared with most DJs in the Greek underground club sceen.He is curently resident at INOTEKA bar in Athens while in Sept 2006 he appeared in Sonic Arts & Technology Forum during Infosystem 2006 at HELEXPO Salonica.Through time Quantums sound evolved & taken identity while progressing his musical influences.From Blipping thrashing basslines and driving drum patterns of deep dance techno minimalism & spices of the odd house to the high tech phunk, break rythms and analogic low synths of electro disko and retro,by bringing out the 'soul' in every appearance. In winter 2006 he joins Random Access Recordings(Detroit) after being selected as DJ of the month and his sets with decks&effects are availiable online.He will soon appear on his 12" debut in colab with Marcus Watkins owner of RAR. He has recently completed his first track OSAKA NIGHTS under a project called Laplus, showing another musical side of Dj Quantum. It is characterised by a more downtempo deep sound and Japanese orientation with elements of soul & phunk.While he has more tracks undergo with the Laplus project his musical career has to hold.He is serving his military service as an Officer of the Navy and his appearances are scarce due to this fact. The new tracks are on their way appearing soon online although its reasonable that Quantum's career has slowed down because of this event running his life temporarily. But whats got to be done has got to be done & its only for a year..Stay low.
