My Blog ~
My Music
Okay, so I suppose I should finally write something on this. My name is Kyle. I am currently in my final year of the undergrad engineering program at UBC. I'm not sure why I always lead off with that, because I really don't want that fact to be how I define myself. Okay... let me start again.
My name is Kyle. I am always scared of the unknown (as cliched as that sounds). Out of the entire day, I prefer the night-time. Not because I'm 'hardcore' and I pretend to be some kind of vampire/man or something, but because everything seems a little more dreamlike at night. After the sun begins to sleep, you don't need an excuse to cuddle on the couch or watch a movie with a blanket. Winter is my time of year for roughly the same reason. Don't get me wrong, there is much beauty in every season. Any given day you will most likely find me looking up at the sky wishing I could fly.
I taught myself a little bit of guitar once upon a time, and now I attempt to write songs with varrying degrees of success. Regardless, I love music (whether playing or listening) and will probably never cease to. Stylistically, I have a broad range of tastes, which used to exclude only raph/hip-hop and country. I decided that it was a little crazy to write-off entire genres of music, and discovered that it was only the mainstream commercial versions of these genres that I actually hate (which actually pretty much goes for all styles).
I am in love with two people. The first is Jesus the Christ, though i don't always show it, and you won't always hear me speak about Him as often as i should. Inexplicably he continues to love me and though i am faithless, he remains faithful. The second is Anna Rogers, and I severely doubt that I will ever find a more perfect puzzle-piece to fit me. I doubt it so much that I have given up trying. I swear that my arms are lighter when I carry her than when they are empty.
Well, to this point, that more-or-less describes me. I tried very hard to keep this description free of the many quotes that plague my day-to-day speach. I'm still not really sure what this whole myspace thing is for, but welcome to my small part of it. It's nice to meet you.
