Video - Holding Doors For Strangers

2007 is turning out to be quite a year for this Dublin foursome. The first of a trio of singles, "Holding Doors For Strangers" kick started the frenzy which saw KIDIC's independent debut hit the Official Irish Singles Chart at number 26. Having filmed an unforgettable video to accompany the track, with director Richard O'Connor and actress Tara Leniston, the guys set off on a national tour which saw them cover the length of the country, culminating in a 'packed to the rafters' show in Whelans of Wexford Street.Keeping a steady berth in the Phantom 105.2 FM Top Irish Airplay charts for more than a month, the song went national when Today FM picked it up, and it wasn't long before TG4 and Channel 6 had the video on heavy rotation, with television interviews following.Further afield, "Holding Doors.." was distributed throughout Australia on the popular "Sounds Like Cafe" compliation, and the video was picked up for a run in the Italian Digi Festival later this year. Indie radio stations in the US, France, and the UK reported some incredible feedback from listeners when the track was aired. As well as this, KIDIC are in discussions with a number of publishing houses which could see "Holding Doors.." go out on Movie and TV soundtracks. An amazing start for this bunch, who only 12 months ago consolidated their long running "Kid Icarus" project into a fully fledged band. Not content with resting on their laurels or allowing their feet to leave the ground, it is heads down with two more singles to follow before the year is out, summer festivals on the horizon, and an album waiting in the wings for 2008.
