About Me

Nothing depreciates today's music more than a beat unaided by empty lyrisicm, but you won't find that here. The soul touching protocols of R&B and lyrically impactful principles of hiphop meet, through an undeniable talent. At the age of 18, post the 2002 local release of independent demo collaberation with WestCoast producer Tony C (BoneThugzNHarmony), KIKO began opening & touring for artists such as Teena Marie, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, 2 Live Crew, Donnell Jones, Musiq Soulchild, George Clinton, and Mary J Blige from western Canadian to eastern American Coasts Years of independent networking and travel (in addition to the unfortunate absence of management and insufficient funds) left her like so many an artist. On the search for the right counterparts to be of assistance. In 2005, she succeeded and began recording a second independent project with the help of Deshaun Holton, rest in peace, (a.k.a "Big Proof") of IronFist Records. His passing in April, 2006, left a personal and professional devastation. A little time to regain.......and......back to the drawing board for this illigitimate American. Summer 2007, upon the gracious surfacing of offering avenues, a longed for completion of vocals beyond the stage has finally come to materialize. From the sun soaked boulevards of Pico and Crenshaw to the faded alleys of Detroit. For those who know the worn soles on this young womans feet, the release of buzz demo project entitled "Almost There" is a metaphor of just that. A history of hardships and struggle overcome by perseverence and a dedicated conviction without comprimise. "You can't take hard times for granted any more than you can take the good times. I have had challenges just like everybody else. Life is like a snowglobe. They see it settled so they wanna shake the shit out of it!...F@$ 'em....learn from it and keep it moving...no matter how far behind you feel." -kikoKeep a watch out for additions to upcoming collaberations such as "Keep on Pushin" with Supa Emcee courtesy of IronFist Records, "Cops on a Payroll" with Earthquake courtesy of B&E, "Nunn of Dat" with B-Gutter courtesy of B&E and the highly anticipated album currently in progress.......
