About Me

I love anything new and exciting, I live for challenges, I'm stubborn as all hell but I'm a total sucker for people who try and make a difference in the world. I don't travel as much as I want to, but Claudi, Marita and Gachi - **Siempre contigo, te amo Peru**. Before I got sick I loved to volunteer for (especially for women's issues and anything concerning human rights), go out to Mothers or Papayas, and just be with my AMAZING friends. Thank you all so much for staying by my side no matter what life throws this bitch's way! Not many people will call just to make sure you're ok, fill you in on the "outside", or make you try on tacky shoes to get over the latest bad news. "Every passing moment is a chance to turn it all around" - and it can be done :) Be fearless! If you're honest, not a hypocrite and not a pretentious carbon copy of some tabloid whore, I love you already! too much time is spent on impressing people who have already decided you're a fool, so you might as well be yourself - I've been through enough plastic that I can spot something recycled a mile away. Life is no fun if you're not laughing at least 90% of the time, and usually that's all you can, and should be doing anyway.

My Interests

Everything interests me, I'm like a damn three year old with an attention span to match. I'm probably a little too interested in everything around me which makes me an amazing procrastinator - Really, you should see it in action: Procrastination breeds ingenius creativity!I didn't even know I could paint until I had to write a term paper for the first time. To avoid my own work I actually worked part-time writing for other people. Now that's dedication to a cause!

I'd like to meet:

Whoever I've lost touch with - I know there's a lot of you out there - so don't be shy, it was probably my dumb ass that lost contact anyway.

Music:

Avoiding the cliche "everything", I love music I can respect meaning someone who actually sings, writes, and has some personality. I am pretty biased against Britney Spears though, so if you're a fan get out of the trailor and get your head checked.

Movies:

Anything minus Chick flicks with cheesey endings that scream self-medication by tequila. I love to be scared so anything gorey (the cheaper the better!) Snatch, Identity, Crash, Clerks (before all the Kevin Smith hype), Clue, Usual Suspects, Ocean's 12, Fight Club, Super Troopers, Dumb and Dumber (I know, I know), Breakfast at Tiffany's (my very guilty pleasure)Run Lola Run, Madhouse and Brick

Television:

I'm a shameless Law and Order Freak. All 3 of them. I'm also a huge fan of Kathy Griffin and Mind of Mencia, South Park and Family Guy. God Bless DVR. Oh, and I'm quite the infomercial connoisseur. By 5:30am they somehow convince you that you absolutely need that set of knives with child-proof blades. Either that or you've unwittingly adopted a kid from China.

Books:

Getting my English degree really took the fun out of reading. However,Anil's Ghost was really good, I actually did like Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and if you want to be completely freaked out check out Kathy Acker's "Blood and Guts in High School" and Shelley Jacksons "Meloncholy of Anatomy"; Always trust a professor with pink hair! (I actually paid good tuition money to have that much literary shock)Well played Christina!

Heroes:

I completely adore Ani DiFranco, When I got to meet her I almost threw up. Thank god she was cool and it was at the Old Pink so no one would have noticed anyway...My grandma, my mom and my SURVIVOR KC :)
