About Me

Hey everyone! My name is Rachel. I grew up in Penn Township, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh. I graduated from Penn Trafford High School in 2000. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition and a minor in fitness. After graduation, I moved to North Carolina. God, I miss living up north: ) I currently work full time as a registered/licensed dietitian for a healthcare organization outside of Charlotte. It's okay, but I don't plan to be here forever. So Ready to move on.... I have the two cutest dogs ever : ) Dikota, a Shiba Inu, is almost 4 years old. Tehya, a Miniature Husky, just turned 2 at Christmas time. I have plenty of puppy pics here on MySpace for you dog lovers!Did I mention that I love the STEELERS? They are one of the reasons why I wish I never moved away from the 'Burgh. I can't wait until football season starts up again. Too bad we didn't make it any further in the playoffs this past year: (

My Interests

I am pretty laid back ...I enjoy meeting new people! The problem is..I am pretty shy at first. I always have been. I open up pretty easily once you get to know me. Just be patient. Some of my favorite past times....Swimming (haven't gotten to do this in a while), spinning, boxing, lifting weights, shopping, cooking, playing with my dogs, being outdoors, playing sports, and eating good food.

Music:

My favorite type of music is alternative rock. Rap/HipHop is probably my number two. I listen to a bunch of other stuff too...no country/bluegrass or gospel. BORING-- My favorite bands right now are Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Mudvayne, Lil Wayne, Three 6 Mafia, Pretty Ricky, Godsmack, Snoop Dog, Plies, Sean Kingston, and Sevendust. I also really like Tom Petty, Aerosmith, Eddie Money, and Van Halen. This year I saw the Gin Blossoms in concert on New Year's Eve. I also have tickets to Journey in August and plan to go to Cruefest in July!!!

Movies:

Some of my favorites in no specific order are probably... Any Given Sunday,Hannibal, The Saw Series, Big Daddy, Happy Gilmore, The Hills Have Eyes, Grandma's Boy, Must Love Dogs, Candyman, Save the Last Dance, The Green Mile, There's Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Arlington Road, Men of Honor, 187, Joyride, Remember the Titans, and the Life of David Gale.

Right now on my TV you may find---Hell's Kitchen, House, the CSI series, Law and Order SVU, Shark, Without a Trace, Two and a Half Men, Friday Night Lights, Las Vegas, Psych, Top Chef, The Soup, Big Brother, or Crossing Jordan. On occasion I may tune into The Girls Next Door or Dr. 90210 on E. I am starting to watch some shows on BRAVO on occasion too (corny?) Oh yeah, and STEELERS FOOTBALL!!!!
