"The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed."
~ Carl Gustav Jung
I like a variety of music and dislike very little. Here is a small list of some of the artists I like:
Tori Amos, Kitaro, Amos Lee, Shiny Toy Guns, Three Days Grace, Erasure, Madonna, Frank Sinatra, Breaking Benjamin, Depeche Mode, Girlyman, Garbage, Suzanne Ciani, Yaz, Oingo Boingo, Etta James, 30 Seconds To Mars, Janis Joplin, Bif Naked, CCR, Marilyn Manson, Death Cab For Cutie, Feist, Ladytron, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins, Cher, Prince....
I don't have a favorite movie. Some of the better ones I've seen are:
Terms of Endearment, The Kingdom (Danish Title: Riget), An Inconvenient Truth, Sean of The Dead, Leaving Normal, Midnight Movies: From Margin to Mainstream, Paragraph 175, Æon Flux, To Kill A Mockingbird, Ultraviolet, Kontroll, The Shawshank Redemption, Wicker Park, Wuthering Heights, The Joy Luck Club, Lianna, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Laramie Project, Moulin Rouge, American History X, Twenty Bucks, A Tale of Two Sisters, Titus, Sliding Doors and the list goes on
..At the moment, I'm not much of a television viewer.
"Those who do not read are no better off than those who cannot" ~ ProverbMy favorite non-fiction book is The Jesus Mysteries by Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy and my favorite fiction author is Roald Dahl. I enjoy reading lots of different types of books; poetry, true crime, etc etc.... I just finished Truth and Consequences by Keith Olbermann. That was a good one.
Simran Sethi, Keith Olbermann and Al Gore are my heros :)
"Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death." ~ Earl Wilson
I have a great deal of admiration for those with enough courage to stand up for what they believe is right and who stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. For those who have the courage and strength to fight for their rights and the rights of those around them. People such as Mohandas Gandhi, Rosa Parks, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr and the Unknown Rebel.
I am grateful for those who have used their gifts of intellect and their talents to enlighten and to better the world as did Albert Einstein, Plato, Socrates and Leonardo Da Vinci.
Everyone makes a difference in the world just by being in it, make it a positive one.

My friend, Doreese Severe developed a method of teaching children to read who are otherwise having a difficult time with it. It is apparently quite successful, so as a favor to her and any of you that might benefit from her books I have added a link to her website, http://www.seeabcs.com/ .“Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you'd have good people doing good things and evil people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion.â€
