It all started from the idea that music can inspire the musician itself and their audience who listen. In 2003 Speaker First was born with their early formation Reda, Bony, Beny, Sandy, and Anton.The spirit of rock n roll unite them and later they have managed to close a recording deal with Sony Music Indonesia and released their debut album in 2004 ‘Whatever You Say’ which is a breakthrough in Indonesia’s music industry with several songs like ‘Tak Apa (Kau Yang Pinta) and ‘Start All Over’. This album led young and phenomenal movie director named Riri Riza and his producer Mira Lesmana to have Speaker First produce songs as scoring and soundtrack for their award winning movie ‘Gie’. The song ‘Mr Ego’ and Bob Dylan recycle ‘Like A Rolling Stone’ works perfect with the film musically and emotionally.For Speaker First, rock n roll is not just about fashion and shallow attitude, rock n roll comes from the soul and the depth of the music vision.In 2006 Reda decide to leave the band. It makes Speaker First second album production delayed In 2007 Speaker First met with their new vocalist Attir which have brought a new passion and color for their music with his Southern, Black Music and Delta Blues vocal character. It can be heard in Speaker First highly anticipated second album ‘Dunia Milik Kita’ which will be released by Duta Music Indonesia in March 2009.In their forthcoming second album, Speaker First have become wiser, more mature with their music. The first single ‘Dunia Milik Kita’ as track opener in the album is a catchy and easy listening music which tells a love story between two couple who were madly in love. They expressed their concern with their country high criminal rate on ‘Patroli’ , human religiousness on ‘Sendiri Lagi’ and even their dream about world peace on ‘Apakah Bisa’. Speaker First with their fans which called ‘Speaker People’ offer an alternative in Indonesia’s music industry mainstream and hopes to inspire everyone who listens to their music
