Robot Turbo Marie is the recording project of one Ian Kitney, drummer with Tim Rogers and the Temperance Union and numerous sessions in various studios across Melbourne. Ian also plays guitar with Ross McLennan and Astrid Munday.
Robot Turbo Marie's debut album, CINEMATOPOEIA, is a concept album dealing with the outrageous ideas of Erich von Daniken in his book 'Chariots of the Gods?'. It also features as the soundtrack to the film CINEMATOPOEIA, soon to be appearing in various film festivals in Australia and Japan.
The album and short film are due for release soon on the Creative Differences - Music & Film label.
Below you will find some excerpts from CINEMATOPOEIA, and if you come to any gigs you will see them live on the big screen! Here is a filmclip for 'You Are Not Alone', from the forthcoming CINEMATOPOEIA album (remember to be patient - hit 'Pause' and go and visit one of my friends while the file is buffering)Here is the 'Cinematopoeia' filmclip (come on short-attention-span, I dare you to see this one through)...and here's a short film called CAR by Robot Turbo Marie (remember, be patient while the file is buffering...): ..
