Hello my name is Mr. Boogaloo, I'm the frontman for The Lucky Strikes. I started this band in San Antonio, Texas in 1997. 2 years prior we were a rock blues band called Billy and the Poor Boys. But after seeing a local rockabilly band (Matt Hole and The Hot Rod Gang) I started listening to old rockabilly records and started thinking this is what I wanted to do....... So I took my blues influence and fused it with rockabilly and played like the devil. While I was looking for material for for our new sound I stumbled across the mean,gnarly guitar playing of Link Wray. I loved his guitar sound, it was pure attitude. I soaked it up. The Lucky Strikes were born. Since then I've played all over the U.S.( Hotrod festivals, biker bars, colleges, ballrooms, you name it.) The lineup seems ever changing, in fact I can't even count how many members have come and gone. But now I've found a drummer with the same love of music and we're tearin it up.
