Back in 2001, Seacoast Church in Charleston, SC was growing. Unfortunately the city wouldn't grant the zoning required to build a larger auditorium. Pastor Greg Surratt heard about churches that were doing a new thing called "multi-site" and went on a weekend tour of several innovative churches.
Instead of growing in one location, a multi-site church will reproduce itself by launching another church across town or in another city. Seacoast Church now is one church with nine congregations in South Carolina and Georgia.
Each church has a campus pastor, worship leader and praise band, and for the sermon will show a video of one of the teaching pastors or has a live message from the campus pastor. Seacoast Greenville was launched Sunday, August 22, 2004, by Chris Surratt. Join us every Sunday morning:
