About Me

I am a very lucky individual... I have found true love... I have a family that is growing... I am one of the few people who are fortunate enough to make a living doing what they love... I get to play music all the time... I could ask for nothing more in this life and am incredibly grateful for all that I have.

My name is Landon and I'm addicted to everything music...

I love to listen to music almost as much as I love to play and create music...
I'll try to play any instrument I can get my hands on and make music with anything I can... I'm one of those weird guys who sits at home and records himself playing tons of instruments on strange little self-indulgent tunes... most of the music you hear on this page is that sort of thing.

I play solo every now and again using looping technology to create sort of a "one man band" performance of some of my songs.

I also play in a few groups these days one being
"Sonic Minstrel"
which is a duet with my friend Chalazon. I play multiple instruments using looping technology and Chalazon lays his horn playing wizardry on top of it... You can check out our myspace page in my top friends list!

I also play bass in a jazz quartet called
"Jazz Shaped Object"
doing all the good old standards! (Myspace page coming soon!)

You can see me performing by myself or in any of these bands all around Boise and get more information and hear more of my older solo recordings at www.garageband.com/artist/Landon

I absolutely love
The Simpsons...

Futurama, The Family Guy, Seinfeld & Curb Your Enthusiasm are pretty great too. I would consider myself to be an avid reader. One of my favorite author's is Pat Conroy. I get my Sci-fi kicks from Orson Scott Card and of course Tolkien. I think Jack Kerouac was one of the baddest cats on the planet. Neil Peart's books and his lyrics have very much changed my outlook on many things. Garlic is one of my favorite things in life. I see and think about music differently every single day. Frank Zappa's song 'Muffin Man' has one of my all-time favorite guitar solo's. I prefer my pepper fresh ground. I feel that improvising music is theraputic and is one of the best things for the soul. I don't believe the human mind is capable of understanding "God". I was sad on the day Chris Farley died. I like to look at the clouds. I am still the Boggle champion in my family for countless years running. I love fresh honeydew. I still have almost every poem I have written since I was in highschool. I feel that farting is a natural thing that everyone does and most of the time should just give us a reason to laugh. I like to look at the stars. I love Steely Dan. I consider art anything that was once a vision or idea in someones mind that they turned into a reality. I still cry like a little girl with a skinned knee every time I watch Forrest Gump. I often call myself a "nerd" but have been informed that I am not a "nerd" but am in fact a "geek". I will try any food at least once just to say I've tried it and probably twice just to make sure if I don't like it. I drink alot of coffee at any time of the day or night. I'm curious if anybody actually reads this stuff. I was sad on the day that Soundgarden broke up. I have a pair of bright green shoes that I never wear anymore. I have a horrible case of Temporomandibular disorder. I feel that cooking is both akin to chemestry as well as art. I believe that all humans are at least slightly insane. I'm a sucker for caramel. Chewbacca is my favorite Star Wars character. I feel that Sting has written some of the most beautiful songs ever. I feel that the combination of chocolate and peanut butter is divine. I believe that some of the best art comes from boredom. I love a nice cold amber colored Ale. I'm not really into sports at all. As far back as I can remember I've been listening to The Doors. I'd rather be early and wait than be known as someone who is always late. I like to take photographs. I don't care too much for black olives from a can because they taste like the aluminum especially when cooked. I find that drunk girls who come and flirt with the band are usually just annoying. Rush changed the way I looked at life as much as the way I looked at music. I feel that bacon makes almost anything better which is probably why I have high cholesterol. I believe that music keeps me "sane". I eat cereal for dinner quite often. I feel that feet are the ugliest part of the human body next to the penis. I'm convinced that the Cha-Cha beat will always get them dancing. My feet look just like Fred Flintstone's feet. In the last couple years I've discovered the joy of many different types of wine. I'm a very laid back and easy going guy. I feel that Batman is the coolest of all superhero's because he is the only one that does not have any true super powers. I feel that Maynard James Keenan is more like an instrument than any other singer on the planet. I like to look closely at the iris of people's eyes. I feel that ranch dressing goes great on almost anything hot with the exception of most breakfast foods. Pearl Jam's debut album 'Ten' changed/saved my life. Donnatello was my favorite ninja turtle. If I have time I will take it to brew my coffee with a french press. I believe that laughter really is the best medicine. I'm impressed if you read all this junk. I feel that instruments are the most beautiful pieces of art because you can create more art from them.
I believe that Zen is the way to be.
