Being the most known unknown doesn’t exactly pen a life of luxury or visibility in the upper brackets of society. Matter of fact, holding the title can sometimes be somewhat of a burden to the bearer of the name; but that really depends on who holds the title. Born Kito Allen, Neno Rocwell has learned to flip that aura of infamy about his achievements into a slow yet steady leap to stardom.
His roots in music don’t necessarily take on that of the normal storied beginnings that most artists maintain. He didn’t start rhyming and putting together verses at a young age, matter of fact he didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming a famous rap star either. Instead he simply just came into the role.
Starting off with the simple back and forth snide remarks that elevated to freestyle battles at lunch, Neno quickly gained attention from the people around him for the skills he seemingly naturally possessed. His style raw and straight to the point, he quickly gained notoriety for his skills, while somehow keeping his name in infamy. His self-proclaimed title “T-Dot’s Best Kept Secret” is reflective of that whole idea of being known yet unknown to the general public.
The whole idea of becoming a rap star became serious however when he co-founded the rap group “The Riot Startaz”. Originally a four man group, it over time was revamped into the present day members, consisting of himself and Senator NappZ. It was from this point that he was introduced by Senator NappZ to Kino, one of the founding members of a newly started entertainment label named Making It Big Entertainment.
From the time he joined the label about over a year ago, he has put out one solo mixtape entitled “T-Dot’s Best Kept Secret” with another few projects slated in the works over the next few months. Still maintaining that raw and uncut style of spitting on the mic, Neno continues to slowly reveal the city’s “best kept secret” to the general public.
