You know, I've been thinking about this lately, and I'm a very cynical person. It's almost like a snobbish quality, although it isn't meant to be. I just get annoyed with people who harp on the latest trends as if that's what they're whole lives have been leading up to. I guess it just boils down to that a lot of people are very fake. But I suppose we all have to be at least a little fake to a certain extent in order to survive. Arrogance and narrow-mindedness just bugs me.

Anyway, about me, I'm Miss Nikcole. I'm 28 years old, which is so dangerously close to thirty that I'm getting nervous. I'm a writer, or at least I'm trying to be. The pic is my daughter, god that sounds wierd, Miss Margaret. Isn't she cute? She was born on October 25th. She's my first. I still really don't know what I'm doing but I'm trying my best. I guess that that's all that I can do. She actually looks a lot like her daddy.

I enjoy good food, movies, cute shoes, gaming, and books. I really like figuring mysteries out. It's the researcher/hunter in me. Just bury me in a library underneath stacks and stacks of books. That's where I belong.

I really love to travel too, which is probably why I've lived in so many different places. Most people just you know, are born somewhere, and stay in that general vicinity, or maybe move once or twice. But not Miss Nikcole. I like to reinvent myself when I move too, which can be fun. That's within reason though. I don't change my name and put on wigs or anything.

It gets frustrating though cause it means I have a lot of friends that are so often very far away. I grew up in Santa Cruz, CA.

Moved to Saratoga, CA. at 13. Moved to Allentown, PA for college at 18. Moved to Houston, TX for a brief spell of insanity at 19. They do have some cool storms there though. Next was school in San Francisco. After that, whilst learning that phds and masters in philosophy and creative writing are harder to come by than one would think. I mean seriously, which nut other than me would want to pursue that, but there they go, they're more competitive than winning the lotto. So went to school in Dover, NH. Got out of school, parents had weird idea of buying horse farm in Kentucky, so moved to Kentucky. More recently, moved to NC with fiancee, then finally to Nevada. So yeah, lot's of states, not enough time out of country though. Need to make it to Europe damnit!

I love alternative rock music, and punk too, and rap always has it's place in life, but I haven't had much exposure to it since I moved from CA. I was spoiled there. We had the best radio stations. I just like music that actually had some thought put into it and doesn't sound like the same old dreary shit. Which is why most of the stuff on the radio just makes me want to cringe. I just like things that are new and bold, and music definitely shouldn't have any set formula to it.

I'm insulting a lot of people on this page aren't I? Oh well, it's fun!

And yes Mr. Derek, I do have this on my page solely for the reason that it'll piss you off. :) Gotta love me!
I made it out of the south finally. Can you believe it?

And yes, my page is cluttered. But so is my mind.

Too many to name really. But here are a few of my all-time favs:
Sense and Sensibility. Odd Couple 2. Young Frankenstein. Eurotrip. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the original only makes this list, though the new one had its moments). Bringing Up Baby. Mr. Blandings Builds his House of Dreams. Bambi. Lady and the Tramp. Cinderella (also disney original). Sleeping Beauty. Big Fish. Sleepy Hollow. Pirates 1 & 2. HP film series. Godzilla (the original).

King Kong (both versions). Gone with the Wind. Guess who's coming to dinner. Office Space. This list could go on forever...lol.

It is worth mentioning that I adore horror films. I adore them a little too much. Sometimes I get angry when the serial killers don't cut the heads off fast enough. My absolute fav is the original Exorcist.

Being nostalgic

I can't help but to wonder of those who have been left behind.  Those whose lives had once been so intrinsic with mine, who now only mark for empty spaces that follow me wherever I go.  I tr...

I’ve rediscovered the brilliance that is sausage.

You could really very easily take that title the wrong way.  I'm not going to go there though.  Not really.  I still feel that I've totally lost my sexual identity.  But, that's a...
