About Me

always seemed to be on the outside looking in when it came to playing music with other peoples. started out playing after 2 weeks of having my big white chocolate bar that was a "hondo" bass (dont ever get one, no mater how young 'n dumb u are). i was a supressed little 13 year old who always played with more experienced musicians... they had about another 3 or 4 weeks on me if my memory serves me correctly. debatable. needless to say, i never tuned up and we never finished a song. not even paranoid. always ended up with us beating 6 shades of blue out of our gear. the problem being...i liked the sound. seeing the potential led me on the thankless path to perfecting the control of noise. had another 2 years or so until my next band. they had a nice name..... "cheyenne" and were all much better musicians than me. they were still really shit. still have recordings and when i listen back. we never played the same tempo twice and there was possibly only one chord that wasnt a power chord and i think that was a mistake. still the music sometiimes got interesting. one song lasted for about 25 minutes. written in 3 parts and i have a wonderful vivid memory of nearly falling off the rock garden stage because i zoned out half way through.so anyway, went through school listening to frank zappa and tom waits and more adult music that i didnt really understand properly but still seemed to love all the same. my metallica and slayer and cannibal corpse and death and kreator puke death f*@k metal friends didnt seem to get the same stimulation from the piano has been drinking not me or lumpy gravy. didnt stop me trying though. think all the above had a rebelious effect because i ended up listening to really too damn dark drum and bass. most pleasurable to my ears. infact there was a guy living near me who bought an akai sampler and once i saw how it was produced i thought i'd found me calling. got one, looked at if for ages wondering why it doesnt like f**@@*g work. got passed that hurdle and spent about 4 years making pure shite. sounded like good shite to me at the time though. blaming Mitsubishi for that one. so... another one, two, what ever years rolled by with me joining the wrong type of bands and messing them up by injecting my 5 string fretless bendy rasberry fart noises into their poptastic shite. and then a nice aquaintance introduced me to the latest bunch of misfits am playing with. for the first time i can relate to people musicaly. there are really much better musicians that me but they also get pleasure from a 15 minute soundscape followed by me sticking the head of my bass through the back of their amp. very expensive the music business is. to add insult to injury, i just bought me a big muff pedal. made in russia and as cheap and nasty as you can get. i dont need to update you on my latest "sound". think you can guess. anyway my lastest "buzz man".... is making my own choonage from like 500000 gigs of wav files recorded oh so well in protools at the studio in the country. chico gonzalaz (in the music section) is a good example. around 30 minutes of pure improv organised by moi into 6 minutes of ninja-tastic shite. noisey this one aint..enjoy and please dont hate me. dat du boi man.
