I love all kinds of things from eclectic to down home. I love spending time with my kids Amber, Misty, and Willow. Then of course, I love the sciences, arts, political science, music, dancing, sunsets, coffee under the stars, writing poetry (but my daughter Misty is a better poet), philosophy, you name it and I am willing to talk about it. My oldest daughter Willow is the Goddess of hair color. Visit her salon in Austin, TX and see what an ace she is with hair! And my youngest daughter Amber she's a comedian and can she cartoon or what! There is nothing in this world that is so offensive that it can't be discussed. And I love to have my mind stretched. Remember the law of requisite variety... You can only exist in as many states of being as you currently have available. Thus, it is important to stretch our experiences so that we can be in more and more states of being.
People of any age who like to talk about all kinds of things. Don't be afraid to give me a ping. Remember, just because I'm older, doesn't mean .... well, you get the idea!
I own 1500 CD's, 560 LP's, 276 45's and a few 78's. Guess I like all kinds of music. I am always interested in new sounds, new ways of making music, collaborating with people on writing for different groups, talking music and even getting together if I can bring my sitar. I write and conduct. I am also interested in mathematics and physics of music, international music collaboration, and instrument design. Maybe one day I will have a job at the MIT Media Lab or Pixar. A girl can dream!
Science fiction, fantasy, comedy (but not stupid comedy), anime, good graphics movies like "The Ark," "Wizards," "LOTR," "Underworld," etc.
Basically TV is for wiping my mind blank when I can't calm it down. Don't watch it much. I use it as a screen for videos. Used to watch Witchblade, Surface, Babylon Five, and Farscape
Oh, let's not even start there. I own over 10,000 books ranging across just about every subject area you can imaging. I love old books and am learning how to restore them. I collect them and then put them in my personal library. Sitting in a nice window, the rain or sunshine, a blanket, a cat, a cup of coffee, some good music and a book and a daydream. How sweet that is!
I spent three days with the Dalai Lama. He was amazing! Anyone over 75 years old and the wisdom that they have inside of them. We each have an everyday hero in our lives, we just have to look. My heroes are my children.
