LO-FI was formed in 2005 to deliver a sexy, sweaty, rock, reggae, hip-hop, ska, dance party. From the dirty streets of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, LO-FI's high energy live performances soon amassed an army of devoted fans.
LO-FI's debut album, 2006's "The Red Album" featured standout rock tracks, "The Booty", "Back Up Off Me", and a cover of The Monks, "Drug's In My Pocket". Reggae gems like, "Move Your Body" and "She's Dope!" rounded out this hungry sounding debut.
Heavy gigging for "The Red Album" saw the introduction of old-school pyrotechnics, the use of a special vibrator guitar pick, and countless other beer-spitting, whip-cream, topless-girl shenanigan's.
Work on the most recent release, 2008's "The Blue Album" began in 2007 and culminated in a sold-out release party at The Legendary Red Rooster in Burlington, Ontario. The album punches listeners in the mouth with rock tracks like, "Strip Club D.J."and "Long Live The Party". Always mixing styles, the ska tinged, "Jolly Cut" and cross-over hit, "Wiggle Room" provide the booty shakin!
The Blue Album was well received with LO-FI hitting 1 on the C101.5 music charts and a "Hammie" for Best Rock Album at the 2008 Hamilton Music Awards.
A live recording is in the works for late 2008. So keep your rock fist in the air and your dancin shoes polished, LO-FI is comin!
