About Me

I have been playing the guitar since I was 11 years old. I started out forming the hard rocking band Raid at age of 12. Kiss, Van Halen, Ritchie Blackmore and Yngwie Malmsteen were my idols at that time. Later on I began playing the classical guitar and jazz guitar. I studied for 4 years at the Academy of Music in Örebro. After that I went to University of North Texas outside Dallas for jazz studies. Some of the teachers were Fred Hamilton, Ed Soph, Dan Hearle, Mike Steinel. Now I work as a guitar and music teacher at Karolinska skolan in Örebro and also a little at the University of Örebro. The music on this site is an example of my music, mostly rough demos made at home, but I will try do record new better versions of the music as soon as possible. The song Open mind is the first song I wrote after spending the year in Texas! The song "The moon is a harch mistress"" is recorded live with my friends Sofia Nilsson and Martin Landh ( whatever instrument you give him, he´s making great music out of it! A musical genius..) My music is mostly instrumental but I collaborate with Andreas Wåhlander and together we make a team where Andreas is concentrating on the lyrics and me on the music; in that (new) project the musical style is pop/rock. Another project is a dou with bassist Magnus Sjöquist where we "jam" open together with a mix of real instruments and samples that Magnus is controlling via a pedalboard through the program Ableton Live on his iBook.
