I suppose I have one or two, but as a perpetual student, (I don't feel like I have ever had a real job), mostly I seem to spend my free time reading the news. I guess I am a junkie, and certainly there must be worse things to which a person could be addicted. Still, I can't help but feeling I have become a particular sort of boring person, at least so far as most people are concerned, unless, that is, you share my peculiar passion.
Bernie Sanders
80's Brit rock and pop. I blame my older sister's radio during my formative years for this.
The Big Lebowski, Raiders of the Lost Arc, Mars Attacks. . .
I love Arrested Development, I can't stand those bastards at Fox. First Futurama, and now this! I have also been watching and enjoying the new Battlestar Galactica, eventhough it is occasionally a little over the top. Also recently I have laughed pretty hard at Aqua Teen Hunger Force, though I never really know why. . . and oh yeah, Strangers With Candy of course.
Favorites: "100 Years of Solitude" by Marquez. "Women in Love" by D.H. Lawrence. "The Idiot" by Dostoyevsky. "Far from the Madding Crowd" by Thomas Harding. And I also love "War and Peace" by Tolstoy. Recently I have been enjoying Neil Gaiman. I read the Lord of the Rings over and over again in junior high and high school, but now because of the movies I am sort of ashamed to mention it. Sorry to all you fans of the movies, but they are some of the worst crap ever made.
Heroes? Well recently, as lame as it is, I would have to say Al Gore. Why does he do it? If he doesn't want to be president anymore, or not enough to run, then why the lecture circuit? For our benefit? Wow, you don't see that often.
