Mike Blemker: Mike plays lead guitar and sings. He is an avid fan of midget mud wrestling. When not rocking with Akacia, he moonlights as an crossbreed of Hendrix and SRV at a river camp near South Weinbach along the Ohio River.
Charlie Dicus:
Chaz...lead vocalist, guitarist, and all around "I can do type-of-guy," even though he can't. He likes to take the time to smell daffodils and enjoy the bliss of blackouts.
Joel Doehrmann:
Joel is a veteran of the Evansville music scene, which entitles him to take your 401K. He is the commander of the "source" also known as the "Thunder." He serves as Akacia's watchout tower, which comes in handy when Mike's midgets tend to get out of hand.
Fred Bassett:
Fred...bass player and gun-toting gardener. He hates moles and owns his own cattle ranch....that's a lie. He actually breeds pure bred racing cattle. He's traveled to various countries...Iceland, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, Persian Gulf, Okanawa, Phillipeans, Puerto Rico, and Egypt, all in the search for the perfect heifer.
He has served as an agent for the Department of Defense, where he led reefer raids on senior citizen communities. He's also hooked-up a few cables for B. B. King, Edgar Winter, Buddy Guy and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
Akacia is a melting pot of different influences,
personalities and attitudes.
It's our love for playing music, and the excitement
that it generates that we thrive on.
The intensity and energy that is produced at an Akacia show...
