About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Hi, my name is Amanda. I'm 22, I've been married for two and a half years now to my best friend. He is my most favorite thing. I'm going to school now in hopes of becoming a high school history teacher. I love playing card games, board games, video games... any sort of game, with anyone who will play. I am very competitive. People who know my family, know that everything we do is a race to see who can do it the fastest, or the best. I've been told that I am funny, but really I just don't think before I speak, so everything comes out wrong. I have bathroom humor, but know when it's appropriate to use it. I've been to Africa twice for humanitarian aide. I loved every minute of it. I miss African smiles. I hate fish, and drivers who tailgate me. I love avacados (way too much) and being with my friends and family. I enjoy discussions, but not arguments. I've been told I'm stubborn, but I think that for the most part I'm pretty laid back. I love children, but don't have any yet. I think the greatest thing in life to be is a mom, but there is a time for that later. I like dancing even though I can't... I'm sorta organized, but think my life is falling apart when my purse is a mess... hmm, I think that's me in a nutshell.Your results:

AMERICAN RADIO

Music:

I'm into everything, but there's not much I will actually spend money on. I'm really diggin' Relient K and The Foo Fighters. There was a time when I thought that I would sell my soul for a chance to see the Beatles. They really are great. I try to avoid buttrock at all costs, and not really into rap or hiphop, but you'll soon find out I know almost every song.

Movies:

My new found love. Ever since I got married, this is what I do... I love movies that can either make me laugh to the point of crying, or that are "butt-clinchingly action packed." Favorites are The Burbs, Million Dollar Baby, Batman Begins, The Producers. American made scary movies are for sissies. Watch Japanese horror, and then I dare you, try to fall asleep.

Television:

We don't have cable. No cable, rabbit ears, sattelite, nothing. I'm not saying that nothing good comes out of cable tv. There are a few shows that are stickin' amazing. The first of course is the best floggin' action show in the history of the world, 24. Could you just imagine how it would be if Jack Baur were actually around? I believe that I would sleep better at night, wouldn't you? Second is Freaks and Geeks. I'm sad to say that it only lasted for a season, but this was the best show ever... makes you upset when you think that there is no more. The other is The Wonder Years. I must applaud tv, for these three shows. I keep waiting for the latter to come out on DVD, but rumor has it that it is coming out beginning of next year. Oh yeah, I'll be there! Also have to acknowledge The Office. Dwight and Jim's relationship makes me laugh so hard. I want Pam and Jim to get together and have babies. Also, I get easily addicted to reality tv (yay Chef Ramsey!)

Books:

I love how Douglas Adams tells his stories. He's amazing... but I am totally into Harry Potter right now. I know I am so behind on the times.

Heroes:

I never gave much thought to heroes while I was younger. I guess there were always the typical answers like firemen, police officers, my parents (I'm not saying that these people are no longer heroes though)... but now when I think about it heroes mean a little bit more. Heroes are not fearless, but they are moved by fear into action. Heroes take a stand for things that they believe in and by doing so make the place they live in a little better. Heroes aren't afraid to change the world, or a city, or maybe even one life. I love Batman. He is the greatest superhero ever. He lives each day to better where he is, he fights for justice, when those in authority can't or refuse to. (Superman is great too, but he gets points deducted for being an alien. Same with Optimus Prime.)

Monkey Business

I have actually found the place where they all go! There must be a room somewhere here where the monkeys sit and work. It's probably a nice office, with a window... I'm sure they have many secretaries...

My first step

I'm tired of just sitting, feeling stagnant. I've thought myself to death, and I know where I want and need to be, but now it's just the doing. I understand that I need to move, but I'm here fumbling ...
