He's the total package! Looks, talent, charisma...What more would you want in an artist? Born in Houston, Texas; this little hip-hop giant strolled out the wound with a mic in his hand. As he grew up in a lower to middle class community known as Third Ward, Half-Pint was closely watched over by his two teenage parents who were determined to provide for their seed the best they could. While his father worked long days, Jeffery's mother stayed home drilling the importance of an education in his head. By the time he was ten, Pint (as some call him) had written his first lyrical masterpiece entitled The Neighborhood Thang. "My uncle was trying to get a label off the ground"; he said, "and I spit it to the lead of one of his groups. I was only in the fifth grade, but I was talking about stuff like I was grown or something. He gave me my name reflective of my miniature stature and had me on the stage a couple of weeks later." While most kids begged their parents to play outside, Half-Pint longed to sit in the studio till the wee hours of the morning. With rapping as his hobby, he excelled in school promoting himself more as a shy whiz kid than a talented lyricist. Even though he was confronted with the realities of poverty, drugs, and crime on a daily basis, he chose not to succumb to these occurrences. After his commencement from high school, Pint started a promising career in college, but even then his hunger to become a force in the hip-hop industry would not fade away. "I never really felt the college thing": he explained, "I mean all I want to do is rap and I cant find a school with that as a major so what was the use!"
Now twenty-four years old and searching for a deal, Half-Pint is ready for the big time. Though from the south, he envies a plethora of artist ranging from the late Tupac Shakur, to Jadakiss which probably would explain his diverse sound. With the swagger, flow, and punch lines that would knock any competitor off his feet, Pint promises platinum status hits on a consistent basis. "Im not satisfied with a little stir in the underground circuit, I want to be a legend in the rap game and I will do whatever it takes to get there because I feel I really have something meaningful to say."
Passing this kid up would be like throwing away a winning lottery ticket so record labels grab him while you can.
