About Me

My Interests

Model design and building (see Pics section for samples of my work), weight training, spirited debate on any and all topics (including the forbidden two), sci-fi collecting, movie special effects.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone!

Music:

Practically anything except modern rap/hip hop and country (although modern country is, admittedly, not completely horrible).

Movies:

Alien, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Batman Begins, Back to The Future trilogy, Borat (never laughed so hard for so long), Clerks, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Hellraiser I-IV, The Matrix I(parts 2&3 were poorly written and executed), RoboCop, Saw, Star Wars III-V, Superman, The Terminator, X-Men

Television:

DRAMA: Any true crime documentary, CSI LV and NY (forget Miami –Caruso chews more scenery than Godzilla ever did), Cold Case (lets face it, Kathryn Morris is easy on the eyes), House M.D., Law&Order: SVU, LOST (top-notch writing and acting all wrapped around a compelling, thought-provoking mystery), Prison Break, 24
SCI-FI: Battlestar Galactica (new version – more great writing, acting and food for thought here), The 4400, The Dead Zone, Doctor Who, Heroes, Smallville (when it's not mired in that damn Dawson's Creek angst), Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Supernatural
MISC: American Chopper, Conan O’Brien (absurdist humor at its commercial best!)

Books:

Stranger in a Strange Land and Starship Troopers by Heinlein; Dune: The Butlerian Jihad trilogy by Herbert; The War Against the Chtorr series by Gerrold; most of the works of Stephen King; Planet of the Apes by Boulle (a serious mind frak); Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Dahl (funny as hell); Sherlock Holmes novellas and short stories by Doyle; Fantastic Voyage by Asimov, Healter Skelter by Bugliosi, The Ultimate Evil by Terry (fascinating investigative journalism), Frankenstein by Shelley (nothing like what Hollywood’s portrayal has done to this classic character – did you know that the creature taught himself to speak French?!), Dracula by Stoker

Heroes:

Anyone and everyone who dedicates themselves to the selfless service of others - they're much better people than I . . . .
. . . and George Washington, who walked away from power when it was handed to him . . .
