The Archangel Hipster is many things to many people:Successful entrapraneaur with a Design studio in NYC that I began in 1986 when Design was still golden and you had to like know a lot of shit to do it well. The site has just been revamped & it's new as of January 2009. (see http://www.clareultimo.com); ••••Author and creator of "Poetry Dog Tags" published by Chronicle Books in 2000 and still going strong. A weird idea that I got from listening to all the poets!••••Writer and poet, published in the Paterson LIterary Review 'cause Diane DiPrima liked my stuff; I guess since poetry is one form of what I make, and I make so much stuff, I haven't paid enough attention to getting more work out there. Intend to.•••Spiritual Adventurer since I was a babe and I mean that quite literally...have been past-life regressed, progressed, had my chakras aligned in 1988 (good to do on an ongoing basis too) have been eating vegetarian for 30 years...crystals, colors, sound therapies...all good, all lots of innerlike fun, master Tarot card reader since I was 14, inevitable meetings with all sorts of gurus, fads and flakes. If it's out there, I have been there. I'm writing all about it soon...•••MultiMedia Artist...I create spiritual geometries from texts in digital format (book deal presently in the works) and I make strange short black and white videos called "Inner Dialogues" that I write and perform in...my first one is in the permanent collection of the Casoria Museum of Contemporary Art in Naples. No time to organize all this now for MySpace viewers...I'm too busy doing my thesis project because I am also an....Just completed an MFA in Integrated Media Arts at Hunter College, NYC . My thesis was a multimedia project called "Verbs on Asphalt: The History of Nuyorican Poetry Slam" since I've been the SlamMama at the Nuyorican for the past 10 years and know it from the inside out. We launched the site in June of 2008, and yes, it was a great success. •••The obvious stuff is that I'm Italian American, born in Brooklyn, and married to the consummate musician, spiritual adventurer, and would be quantum physicist Dr. 88. He passes the time doing calculus and playing R&B.•••So being all these people and doing all this stuff takes a lot of time, and while I am also learning to time travel and leave the body at will...haven't perfected the process yet...and besides I still have client deadlines to pay the rent. So if I don't get here a lot, you'll all understand. XXX
