I am a native of Madison, GA, but now call Duluth, GA home. I have an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S) in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University, a Masters of Education (M.Ed) in Social Sciences from Piedmont College, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from Emmanuel College and the University of GA. From 1994-1998 I taught Pre-K at Little One's Academy in Athens. From 1998-2007 I was a 6th and 7th grade social studies teacher at W.R. Coile Middle School in Athens, GA where I served on the Leadership Team and as Athletic Director, Yearbook Advisor, Grade Level Chair, Co-Director of the Afterschool Program, and Assistant Boys Basketball Coach. I currently teach 6th grade social studies at River Trail Middle School in Johns Creek, GA (North Fulton County). I have been on the Board of Directors of the Miss Atlanta Scholarship Pageant since 1999 and am currently Executive Director of the Miss Atlanta’s Outstanding Teen Program and Co Director of the Miss Atlanta Teenager and Junior Teenager Pageant.
