WHAT IS THE ABC FOUNDATION?
ABC, which is an acronym for All Boys Can, is an organization dedicated to developing and coordinating programs that promote fellowship and unity among men while helping youth reach their full potential through positive mentoring relationships with adult male volunteers. We also serve as a liaison with faith based and civic organizations, as well as businesses and caring citizens to provide various services that promote the mission and vision of our organization.
OUR MOTTO
Turning Statistics Into Solutions
OUR HISTORY
Founded in 2002, The ABC (All Boys Can) Foundation is widely acknowledged as an authority in developing and coordinating programs that promote fellowship and unity among men while helping youth reach their full potential through positive mentoring relationships with adult male volunteers. It serves as a liaison with faith based and civic organizations, as well as businesses and caring citizens to provide various services that promote it’s mission and vision. Along with its Founder and President, Kyle D. Baldwin, The ABC Foundation has reached thousands of young people through its mentorship, education and personal enrichment programs throughout the United States. However, we are just getting started. In 2007 we are launching an aggressive attack on the HIV/AIDS pandemic, high school dropout rates, teen pregnancy, drug abuse and many other negative influences and social ills that affect our youth, through various educational and collaborative projects.
OUR VISION
Our vision at ABC is to establish educating, enlightening, entertaining and empowering programs and initiatives for men and youth, in an effort, to provide a platform for them to form and maintain positive, interactive, life-long relationships.
OUR PROGRAMS
M.E.N.
M.E.N. which stands for Men’s Empowerment Night, is our monthly mentor drive. These programs which are held at various faith-based venues, are free of charge, and allow the local community to unite for an evening of education, enlightenment, entertainment, and of course, empowerment. Our M.E.N. speakers and entertainers for 2007 include Judge Greg Mathis, Rev. Al Sharpton, Steve Harvey, Denzel Washington, Rickey Smiley, Keith L. Brown, Men of Standard, Dave Hollister, 112, Antonio Neal, New Edition, Gov. Sonny Purdue and many, many, more.

MENtor
MENtor is our multi-faceted mentorship program, where we pair adult male mentors with young adult mentees between the ages of 8-18. Our weekly meetings are site-based and have a group dynamic. We then combine life-skills training with the development of supportive relationships between adults and youth.Click Here To Learn More About Our Mentorship Programs

OUR FOUNDER - KYLE D. BALDWIN

After delivering his first speech before thousands at The United Nations Headquarters in only the fifth grade, it was evident that Kyle D. Baldwin was born to make a difference. This dynamic educator, entrepreneur and professional speaker insists that he is not another motivational speaker. Instead, he proclaims to be a “Testimonialist.” He defines a “Testimonialist” as one who specializes in inspiring and encouraging others, especially young people, through their testimonies or “testimonialism.”

Always armed with a positive attitude and a smile, Kyle is a former high school valedictorian, a former United States Marine, a former educator, a licensed real estate agent and mortgage broker, CEO and President of Home Solutions, Inc., Founder and President of The ABC (All Boys Can) Foundation, and one of the most highly sought after professional speakers in the Nation.

Kyle was also accepted into the inaugural class of “Call Me Mister” elementary education scholarship recipients. This globally acclaimed program was featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show and selected to be part of Oprah's Angel Network. The program also has received widespread recognition from former U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige and has been featured in such national media outlets as USA Today, TIME Magazine and National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."

Kyle has shared his bold and powerful messages with schools, churches, corporations, and conferences throughout the nation. His high energy style combines his unique sense of humor with his uncanny ability to educate and empower audiences of all backgrounds. He has collaborated with globally recognized figures such as Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., Rev. Al Sharpton, Dick Gregory, Judge Greg Mathis, and the late James Brown. Kyle’s work with The ABC Foundation has been highlighted in numerous media venues including The Al Sharpton Show, The Michael Eric Dyson Show, The Tavis Smiley Show, Power Talk with Dr. Lorraine Jacques-White, The A-Team Morning Show, and The Tom Joyner Morning Show to name a few.

On a personal note, Kyle is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., an active member of Prince Hall Free and Accepted Masons, a life member of the Marine Corps League, member of the NAACP, member of the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition, member of the National Action Network, member of the National Alliance of Black School Educators, and volunteers in various community service activities. He is also a devout Christian and fervently believes that prayer really does change things. His favorite bible verses which he often quotes in speeches is 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Psalm 133.

Kyle is ready to share his educating, enlightening, entertaining, and empowering message with your ministry or organization. His messages are specifically tailored to men and youth, however he speaks on all topics. For more information, contact us at (404) 966-7600 or [email protected].

IF
By Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
but make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
or being hated, don't give way to hating,
and yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream-and not make dreams your master,
if you can think-and not make thoughts your aim;
if you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
and treat those two impostors just the same;
if you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
and stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
and risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
and lose, and start again at your beginnings
and never breathe a word about your loss;
if you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
to serve your turn long after they are gone,
and so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
or walk with kings-nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
if all men count with you, but none too much,
if you can fill the unforgiving minute
with sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a Man, my son!

Just One
By Author Unknown

One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey.
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true,
One life can make a difference,
That one life belongs to you!

See It Through
By Edgar A. Guest

When you're up against a trouble,
Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it's vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer,
See it through!

Black may be the clouds about you
And your future may seem grim,
But don't let your nerve desert you;
Keep yourself in fighting trim.
If the worst is bound to happen,
Spite of all that you can do,
Running from it will not save you,
See it through!

Even hope may seem but futile,
When with troubles you're beset,
But remember you are facing
Just what other men have met.
You may fail, but fall still fighting;
Don't give up, what've you do;
Eyes front, head high to the finish.
See it through!

By Changing Your Thinking

By Changing Your Thinking,
You change your beliefs;

When you change your beliefs,
You change your expectations;

When you change your expectations,
You change your attitude;

When you change your attitude,
You change your behavior;

When you change your behavior,
You change your performance;

When you change your performance;
You Change Your Life!
