If you are being chased by a gator, run...or trip the guy next to you and walk.

About Me

I'm 32 and have two kids, Sebastian and Stevenee (pronounced like Stephanie with a V). They are 8 and 7 and in second and first grade. I'm divorced but don't feel bad for me. It was the best thing I ever did! After taking 4 years to try to figure out who I was I reconnected with a great guy that I've known since I was 17. Ironically, my brother tried to set me up with him way back then. We've been together for 2 years and I love him with all of my heart. He also has two kids, Jada and Chase, who are 6 and 8, as well as a remarkably well adjusted 15 year old step son. Between all of the younger kids we have grades kindergarten through third covered. Scott and I both work for the county. Our benefits are great but both of our jobs are a tad on the boring side. To keep my brain going I started taking classes in January of 2006. Sometimes I don't know which way I'm going but it all keeps me occupied. I'll take busy over bored anyday!

My Interests

Here's a video of Jeff and Sonia from the beach. Listen for Sonia screaming "Jilly".I spend most of my time remodeling the house. I have visions of a rental empire but for now we only have 1. I'm always looking though. I'm thinking of getting a realtor's license and doing that part time. It would be some extra cash and an early look at what hits the market. I'm trying my hand at growing some perennials and a little landscaping. My dad is probably tired of me asking questions! Most of what I do revolves around houses one way or another. I'm started to get interested in traveling but I'll have to wait until the kids are older.

I'd like to meet:

No one really. It's not that there isn't anyone worth meeting it's just that I get really nervous and act like a retard. I'd rather just keep them on that imaginary pedestal.

Music:

I'm still a rock n roll kind of girl. I can tolerate some top 40 but tend to stick with my head bangin.

Movies:

Here's the preview for the next Harry PotterI have little kids. I don't get to hear or follow the plot of most movies I watch! I love the Harry Potter movies and any teeny bopper flicks. My all time favorite has got to be "10 Things I Hate About You"

Television:

I always watch the Wife Flipping shows as Scott calls them...Wife Swap and Trading Spouses. We watch several house flipping shows and he accidentally merged the titles once and it just stuck. I love reruns of Sex and the City and always try to catch The Simpsons (whether new or old) and Malcolm in the Middle.

Books:

I've never much liked reading. I couldn't tell you the last time or any time for that matter I've volunatarily picked up a book.

Heroes:

My Grandma Mullikin. She was everything a grandma should be. I even named my daughter after her. I didn't know it at the time but Grandma was named after her grandmothers so I feel very proud to be able to carry on a family name even further.

My Blog

Like I can remember that?!

I desperately need to go through the cd case I keep in my van.  I'm a bit embarassed to say that most of those cd's have been in that case since the mid 1990's.  I was always into music and ...

I've had better ideas

I always have a plan.  I think most of the time it only makes sense to me but I'm always thinking ahead.  My tap dance teacher always said to be thinking of the next step.  I'm pretty s...

The three day weekend and the economy

As I was out and about this weekend I noticed that a lot of other people were doing the same.  Even with the price of gas there were boats, campers, 4 wheelers and the like going to or from somew...

Are we banning the right thing?

This weekend we braved the holiday traffic and headed to Indy to see a show.  We saw the annual May Day concert sponsored by X103 at the Verizon Ampitheater in Noblesville.  The show itself ...

The squeaky wheel gets the grease

As a government employee I'm mystified as to why county jobs seem to be coveted by many.  I can't say that I wasn't looking at this office with rose colored glasses but now that I've been here I ...

When rock stars lose their minds

The question mark generation

I have a habit of people watching and I've noticed something lately. Teen girls are just as sickeningly pretty as they always have been and just as thin but they are oddly shaped.  They of course...

I was little surprised today when I got three emails from Youtube.  I am not a huge user of the site but posted video of three songs I took at a Daughtry show in Indianapolis in March.  Came...

Do Personality Tests Work?

I am fascinated by personality tests.  I'm not sure why.  I just love them.  I suppose by seeing things on paper that I'm aware of about myself I feel like I make more sense. ...
