'ALWAYS' FEATURES THE AWESOME NEW VOCAL TALENT LORRAINE JOSLIN. Check her other work on he myspace site (go to the link under on my friends)Been doing music for years but finally got some cash together to get some decent equipment to produce properly. Been doing youth work for years, but currently I work with people coming out of drug treatment, rehab or detox, trying to help them get back in to independant living and that relapse does not have to be an option. Seems kinda appropriate as I'd boshed a few substances in my past and managed to get out of it - it's an amazing & challenging job, but financial rewards have been slim so it's taken me bleedin ages to save up to develop beyond simply using old skool hardwareMy favourite DnB producers are the hospital records crew, Krust & Roni Size, TeeBee, Klute & Calibre ('drop it down' still makes me dance like a monkey!). I'm also currently lovin 'Potential bad boy' - his trax are gettin better & better every release. As a DJ I've had the privilage of supporting the likes of Zinc, Marcus Intalex, John B, Ed Rush, Pendulum, Nookie, Kubiks, Nu Tone, Dr S Gachet, Fresh, BCEE, Brockie & Goldie - aswell as the homegrown talent - big up Kwest, Decoy, Sci phi, Purpose B, Blocky, Jellybass, Jonny Simps, Luke T, Hijera & all the hedz! Keep representin! Also cheers for the gigs I've had with Paradox, Momentum, Sub Zero, Get Twisted, Rubiks Cube & my yearly trip to Germany for Freakstock (THE heaviest crowd there is!!!!! Mash up!)
I also dig funk, rap & the whole hip hop ting. I love breakin & poppin - not great at it, but I love it! I currently practice with the Southampton's very own Ferocity crew - massive respect to Alex Narian, the original B-boy who's 38 & still busting new moves! Mr Animation & Ken Swift are my fave old skool dancers - they are too funky! Nu skool has to be Junior & Elsewhere for their awesome moves.
I'm well into scrambling up mountains & if I'm in the right place during the right time of year, snowboarding down them too. Recently boarded in Canada & it was bloody amazing!!! Love it.
I also love my spiritual vibes & converted to Christianity in 1996, because atheism suddenly seemed so unsatisfying, when I discovered the person of Jesus Christ. I had iches that needed scratching & the emptiness of beleiving in nothing just didn't gonna float my boat anymore. Since then, the Big Man has been faithful to me through the bad times & the good, & blessed me with good friends too. I'm very thankful. Some people get embarrased about the whole Jesus thing cos they think it's sad & irrelevant. But to be honest He's the reason I'm still alive, sane & happy, so if loving God makes me uncool then I'm happy to be uncool. I enjoy having hope in my life these days and have constant access to inspiration, which I think is a bonus.
My current rant is about shows like The Jeremy Kyle show - These hosts are not phsycologists, psychiatrists, sociologists, doctors, parental skills experts or marriage counsellors, yet they are let loose to vomit their unskilled opinions on vulnerable messed up people whilst a TV audience enjoy the slaughter...er couldn't we find something more contructive to do?
