My artist name is TENDA, which i feel is quite original,as i have not heard of another artist with the same name. I think the name represents my personality when i chat, which is smooth, and TENDA. Im not one of those rappers that are all hype and loud, which i think is again original. I been chatting on mic since i was about 16 years old and its only the last couple of years ive really started taking my music seriously. When i first started mcing it was strictly to garage and a bit of drum and base. I did this for fun at house parties and a few wine bars and clubs. This gave me a little bit of experience of performing live which helped me. Also to progress myself i used to make a lot of tapes round my friends house,which i would always listen back to and see what i could improve on. As the garage scene slowly started to fade away, i started to change my style to hiphop. Ive not been doing hiphop for that long only about 2 years, so im still adapting my style and techniques. Through my years of making music ive had many set backs, which ive moved on from, and which has made me stronger. I wont lie at one stage i doubted myself, i was thinking am i good enough? and i lost all my confidence, i was getting writers block and i was just not feeiling the love of music any more. It was hard but ive now pulled myself out of this slump, and now im back on track. At the moment im focussing on making my mix tape, which should be out very soon. Ive also had one of my tracks featured on a mixtape named: The definition of hiphop. Which is put together by D.J WM. So if your interested in that then speak to D.J WM whos under my top friends list.
