I am a 22 year old dancer/teacher/student, interested in expanding my ability and knowledge of dance, choreography and music on a daily basis, i love to dance, it comes from my heart and soul and will be part of my life forever. i am currently studying a degree at middlesex university to widen my artistry and progress in my chosen field. i am interested in meeting motivated young people like myself to take this era in to a new age, working together we can achieve so much. i have been dancing from a young age in a variety of different styles, my focus at present is contemporary dance... not to categorise i use that term in its broadest sense, becacuse to me it means so much. Over the summer i put my performing on hold to teach dance to young people in essex, a summer project called instep which i fronted, although a huge success i expect to see more people at the next one! watch this space its coming soon. Univerity is my focus for the next 18 months or so, learning new things from the gifted staff, and extensive collection of books, media and videos (you tube) lol! Jus kiddin the library is still very important... ALL STUDENTS REMEMBER THAT. Whilst completing my degree, i shall continue to network meet new people and set up my own dance ventures. I think it is important to start making career plans, a degree is just a piece of paper to enhance what i already have and will learn. i think its also important to intergrate ethnic minorities in to the dance world, embracing culture and fusing all dance styles together. My work with children and the community has helped me to develop as a dance artist and work with a variety of people from all backgrounds.
