This cat comes from the East Side of Tuscaloosa and approaches the microphone with a cocky demeanor that'll make you either love him or hate him. Cognac had been flowing for a while, but didn't decide to put his mark on the game until about late 2002. He began to work on his first album , but that was halted in March of 2003, when he was involved in a severe car accident, which almost cost him his life. Therefore, he had to put his career on hold and focus on bouncing back from the injuries he sustained. In 2004, he recorded enough songs for a demo, and then began to shop around. He met up with an independent label out of Atlanta that did nothing but praise his talent; but in the end they told him they were not interested. "I guess they just wanted to go in a totally different direction", Cognac states. Cognac got back into the lab with extreme determination. Later that year he attended the Music Industry Conference in downtown Birmingham. There he got to showcase his talent, while networking with other local and out of town artists. Since then he has dropped an album entitled "Hold My Own", is featured on Big Boy Entertainment's "Family Affair", "Da Real Takeova",and "The Kings of Dixie". Cognac is also featured on Gem Avery's mixtape entitled "Gas Money", along with other hot artists from T-Town. On top of all that, he has just recently finished the classic album entitled "V.S.O.P.", and has collabed with Jackson,Mississippi's own, Donnie Cross, on a hot track entitled "All About My Cash".
