I am here for Friends

About Me

Right now I am focused on my career, my family, my friends and my spirituality. I am a tennis pro at Grande Dunes Tennis Club in Myrtle Beach and have been a PTR Certified Teaching Professional since 1997. I work primarily with juniors who compete at the top of state, sectional and national/super national levels. It is always the people and places that make this life the best for me!..

My Interests

Sports (primarily tennis, but college hoops is great and who can't love college football (BCS is kind of screwy but whatever) and NFL is cool (good excuse to party on Sundays). I also want to learn to play guitar and cook on a gourmet level. Art & culture is great, but when it comes down to it a rainy day with a dvd works fine for me. Basically right now I am traveling a lot for my job and I am really enjoying it but I definitely miss home while I am gone. Work is about all I have time for except a quick trip to see friends in Charlotte or somewhere else not too far from here.

I'd like to meet:

There are actually two people I would really like to meet: the first is Andre Agassi, professional tennis player and longtime childhood hero who has done so much good in a short time that it is one of the biggest inspirations of my life. The second is Joel Osteen, Pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, TX. His writings & messages focused my efforts on applying God's message to life in a practical & everyday existence. He (along with a few others) pretty much showed me how to believe!

Music:

Nickelback, Hinder, Theory of a Dead Man, Buckcherry, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Breaking Benjamin, Angels & Airwaves, Incubus, Foo Fighters, Transmatic, Paw, Matchbox 20, Weekend Excursion, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Acoustic Syndicate, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Clint Black, Brooks & Dunn, Bob Segar, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Drivin & Cryin, some hip hop and some old school rap. There are really so many artists that I like I can't even name most of them!

No Matter What Your Connection Speed Is

Sometimes I liken my spiritual connection to an internet connection. This may sound strange, but sometimes I feel like I am on a blazing fast T1 line and sometimes I am on the slowest dial-up...but ei...

Can You Let Go?

Sometimes we meet people that bring out a side in us that we rarely get to experience. This side is complex, intense and can be very focused- occasionally to the point of things going too far. In an a...

No Excuses

Don't rely on other people to affirm you and build your self confidence and self esteem. Just know that God created us all as individuals and He loves us in an unconditional way, flaws, mistakes&...

How Do You Measure Success?

Ok, I will try to keep this one as short as possible. This has been weighing on me so here it is: Life is all about relationships with other people and with God. It is so easy in today's culture to ge...
