Backgammon, Pitch, motorcycle riding, reading NON-academic books, alternative music, middle east news junkie, retired gamer but i still pwn nubs on occasion, and any of the activities a father of 4 can get into. My oldest son and I enjoy soccer and baseball, cartoons together, and model building. My daughter likes to watch cartoons with dad too, we cook together, and we like to play on the playground. My youngest son and I enjoy eating and drooling together...
Just about anybody that's down to earth, honest, genuine... people of all backgrounds are interesting to learn from. I enjoy a good conversation involving different points of view than my own, that way I can help others recognize how far off they really were first place :P
I enjoy a little bit of everything, but dont find much time to sit and listen to much of anything.
ah..where to begin, anything military ever made, 300, 13th Warrior, King Arthur, Lucky Number Slevin, Godfather, Ronin and assorted car chase movies, Lord of the Rings, and so many more it's hard to list...
About anything History and Discovery channel, and I'm a news junkie that alternates between several channels.
George R Martin fantasy is the best, but Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time is a close 2nd. Most all the fantasy books I've read are ones that I've enjoyed. I also enjoy a lot of military history and the occasional Grisham/Clancy novel. I occasionally stumble into one of the classics and enjoy it.
I dont normally think about who to call a hero, but if anybody deserves the title I'd say my dad did. Also, there is a little history of the military in our family, and I consider anyone that served to be a hero. Despite any politics about Iraq, I believe every American there is a hero. People that stand up and act on thier beliefs regardless of the cost, they are the ones I respect the most.
