A Windy City institution and the world’s largest festival dedicated to the art form of sketch comedy, the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival is an annual event that celebrates the best in local, national, and international sketch comedy!

Over two weeks, audiences can take in more than 100 events, including performances, workshops and children's programming. The Chicago SketchFest is honored to bring so much sketch comedy to the city where the art form was born and to provide sketch comedy artists the opportunity to perform in front of large audiences at no cost to themselves!

This year’s 8th annual Chicago SketchFest is scheduled for January 8th – 18th, 2009 and will showcase 104 sketch comedy groups performing 131 shows in 8 days!

Hop between the stages of the Theatre Building to catch the groups you want to see during this mind-blowing 3-ring circus of comedy! With up to 24 groups performing in one day, and an incredible variety of ensembles, there is something for everyone at Chicago's most hilarious festival!
