"Make no mistake- this is a potent mix of old-skool dance music and video game soundtracks" (Oxfordbands.com)
“An exciting, irresistibly danceable outfit ”. (Cherwell24)
"A deliciously retro-flavoured electronic trip to the far side of the cosmos." (Oxford City Life)
"Excellent" - Dr Ben Goldacre
Backstory
Space Heroes of the People formed in Oxford in 2006. The line up is samples and loops, double bass and drums. We're inspired by like anything which rocks, and which makes people dance, and which is a bit experimental (see the influences column). Tim and Jo have been in various Oxford bands (Tim in eeebleee and Science Never Sleeps, Jo in eeebleee and The Evenings, who she still plays in). Lizz was previously in We The Starling who became Kinderleader. Tim stole the band name from a T shirt , and, well, here we are.
We’re definitely a live act, and we welcome gig offers, reviews, radio/podcast plays, and suchlike. You can contact us through the myspace url or at [email protected] anytime.

Equitruck and review

Well, that was a bit odd. The thing is about the Jericho is that you can't hear the front of house from the stage at all so you rely entirely on the monitors. And if the monitors go phut, as they did,...
