Many. I feel an undying need to know the truth about everything. Seek the truth. My mind, which runs on a 150 IQ, is filled with informative, but sometimes useless, data.
Myself ... I want to go into the future to see the man that I'm growing into. And, no matter what I see, I want to be so much more. And also... myself again ... I want to go into the past and beat the tar out of myself for being so stupid. And in the future, one man I want to meet is Rich Mullins..."So go out and live real good, and I promise you'll be beat up real bad. But a little while after you're dead, you'll be rotted away anyway. It's not gonna matter if you had a few scars. It will matter if you didn't live. And when you wash up on that other shore, even though you've been disfigured beyond any recognition, the angels are gonna see you there, and they'll go, 'What is this? We're not even sure if it's human.' But Jesus will say, 'No, that's human. I know that one.' They'll say, 'Jesus, how do you know that one?" He'll say, "Well, you see that sweater he's got on?' " --- Rich Mullins (October 21, 1955 – September 19, 1997)
U2 is a long time favorite. However, I have a personal connection to Caedmon's Call, who graciously allowed me to be their cameraman for a day at a weekend-long concert. Most of my misc. favorites are from the 80's. Currently I like Plumb, Coldplay. I would recommend Plumb - Blink to any new or expecting mothers.
The Butterfly Effect, Somewhere in Time, the Back to the Future trilogy ... time travel movies have helped me appreciate the mistakes I've made ... if we don't make mistakes, we can't learn from them and grow. My favorite book as a child was Bridge to Terabithia. The 2007 movie was really good.
24, Heroes, Smallville and Lost are great. I followed all of the Star Trek series. Old Favorites are The Incredible Hulk, Voyagers!, Land of the Lost.
Anyone who knows me also knows I can be quite conflicted at times. I have a long Christian history as a student and teacher; thousands of Bible study hours, and even helped in editing Green's Literal Translation of the Holy Bible. So, obviously the Bible is at the top of my list, but I'm not a typical Christian. I avoid the political structure currently over shaddowing what Christianity is supposed to be. It can suck the life out of you if you rely on other people to tell you what to do and believe. Read the Bible for yourself.
